Why Pray?

Common Question. For some reason so many of us talk ourselves out of prayer.

God is all knowing and all loving. Why pray?

This is a good question; here are my thoughts:

-Jesus did it-Mark 1:35 (now that thats out of the way, here are some other thoughts)
-The first followers of Jesus did it-Acts 1:14 (I know...it's coming)
-Prayer strengthens us-Matthew 26:41
-Prayer strengthens others-Ephesians 6:18-19
-Prayer invites God's supplication-1 John 5:14-15
-Prayer prepares us to make decisions-Luke 6:12-13
-Prayer has the power to break demonic chains-Matthew 17:14

Scripture says that as we pray, the incomprehensible Peace of God will guard our heart and our mind from anxiety-Philippians 4:6-7

Asking questions is great, but actually desiring answers is far greater.
